Treasure Finding

I've finally moved into my suite and am now unpacking the remaining boxes and trying to find space for everything. Along the way, I've found the requisite number of "toss" and "giveaway" items, as well as a surprising number of funky things that I had forgotten I owned.

I seem to have a collection of ice cube trays. But not ice cube trays. There is not a cube to be found. There are trays with holes shaped like pumpkins, skulls, flowers and sticks. But no cubes. I will never be bored with an iced drink!

I also seem to have a rather ecclectic selection of tea pots. Everything from a huge 12 cup pot, to a small tea-for-one set.

I have hanging star lanterns in every colour of the rainbow.

And a collection of egg cups that I didn't know I had. One set even looks like the bottom half of a duck - sitting on funny webbed feet!

The best find though (so far) is a jar of Carrot Cake jam my friend brought me from a trip last summer that got pushed to the back of my cupboard and forgotten about. I can't wait to have this on a scone or bagel - yum!

Hopefully by Monday, I'll be back to some sort of schedule and a normal life again (whatever that is!) Tomorrow, my only task is to catch up on blog-reading! And perhaps finally get a good taste of that jam!

That's the only thing I like about moving, finding things I forgot I had. Enjoy!

I used to have funky ice shape trays but I have no idea where they've got to.

I also have a star lantern too. Not an assorted collection which would be so cool for hanging in the big picture window from Samhain to Yule.

Hope you are feeling settled in!

Interesting collections. I have one star lantern - a red one that I bought in Salem. No egg cups, no teapots, and only the mundane type of ice cube trays.

The jam sounds delicious!

The ice cube trays are awesome.... Maybe something like that would inspire me to fill my own from time to time. I never seem to have ice when I need it. lol

Also dig the teapots!

1. I have that exact same star lantern in purple.

2. I MUST get some of those ice cube makers in cool shapes. My drinks are boring me to tears!

Congrats on your move! I'm unpacking from mine too and having a ball.

I love finding goodies in my own stuff!! The ice trays sound fun, and being a bit of a spaz for teapots myself, those sound marvelous!

So happy that you are in your new home and unpacking. Love the tea pot, but then I really like tea pots. How is it going with the new shop? It was gorgeous this weekend, but is getting cooler in the evenings again, down to thirty tonight. My body just doesn't like the cold any more, really makes it ache.
