Is It October?

Strange things are afoot.

Our weather has chilled to the point where I'm in my coat and scarf again, and the news is calling for snow and heavy rain tomorrow.

Jennifer at The Mare's Tales and Carolee at King of Mice Studios went to a fabulous Haunters Convention and both of them blogged about their fun and purchases. Suzie at Cat in the Pumpkin Moon is having a Halloween Blog Crawl.

And I went to a Spring dance show to highlight the best performances of a local Arts Festival, and was treated to a group of 20 zombies dancing to "Putting on the Ritz."

It looked a little like this:

I'm not sure if this is May or October. But as long as there's a slice of pumpkin pie somewhere with my name on it, I don't really care!

Yeah, same topsy turviness here in Edmonton -- there was a Zombie Car Wash on Saturday to raise money for charity.

The wind outside here has been very blustery, I am pleased to report that had there been no bluster the sun would have been a scorcher. Of course, now that you've mentioned pie I just want a slice, with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon on top...

Oh, that had to be awesome! I love that song! And the video you shared is a lot of fun too! I love their costuming and makeup!

Hmmm, pumpkin pie DOES sound very yummy right now. And yes, I'll share! lol

I had planned on going to that Halloween convention too, but appointments here conflicted with it. Maybe next year.

Thanks so much for the shout-out! Wishing you a beautiful day, no matter what time of year!

We almost hit 90 yesterday...at least 20 degrees above normal. I think we are all in for a strange summer.

Pumpkin pie and a Hot Toddy. It is too cold or windy to even plant.

I fear summer will never arrive and all of time will suddenly go from Spring to Winter and Fall and then Winter again and these old bones of my will turn so brittle that the slightest sneeze will send them crunching into little bits of calcium sawdust and saltwater tears.

Strange things are afoot the world over!! We too have pulled out the thermals and have turned the central heating back on... It must be what the Chinese call 'the 5th season.'

Patiently waiting for spring now ... anytime ... please???
